Total budget revenue always exceeded the set target and ranked 3rd in the country, of which domestic revenue was increasing and accounting for more than 40% of the total budget revenue of the province, GRDP per capita / year reached USD 6,850, one of the highest locality level in the country.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, to achieve the above results is due to the past time, Ba Ria - Vung Tau has focused on solutions to develop key industries such as industry, seaports, tourism and high technology agriculture. This is also the main task of the province in the period 2021 -2025.
Accordingly, in the coming time, Ba Ria - Vung Tau will restructure the industry according to each specialty; to focus on developing industries and industrial products with comparative advantages such as supporting industries, specialized industries, industries associated with seaport advantages; concentrate on industries with high added value, reducing the processing rate in the textile and garment and footwear industries. Restricting or not accepting industries in some fields with the risk of causing environmental pollution; non-production sectors increase trade deficit, inefficient use of natural resources and land, outdated technology, and labor-intensive.
Besides, actively supporting major industrial projects in operation. Develop petrochemical industries to be ready to meet the needs of basic production materials of the chemical industry in the next stage of development. Establishing two more industrial parks with an area of 1,730 hectares (industrial zones in Phu My town and in Xuyen Moc district). Complete technical infrastructure of industrial zones and clusters to create conditions to attract investment, increase the occupancy rate of industrial zones and clusters. On the basis of existing industrial zones and clusters, orient to form concentrated supporting industrial zones, implement industry linkage in supporting industrial zones, step by step create supply networks for industries. manufacturing, shipbuilding, chemicals, oil and gas industry ... in the province, the southern key economic region and the whole country.
Especially, Ba Ria - Vung Tau will develop infrastructure outside the fences of industrial zones and the social infrastructure system of the region. Industrial development goes hand in hand with environmental protection, towards a green and clean manufacturing industry; To make sure that by 2023, 100% of industrial parks come into operation with centralized wastewater treatment systems meeting class A standards.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Tho said that Ba Ria - Vung Tau will call on high-profile and experienced investors to invest in developing major tourism projects in some land areas with potential functions of the province, such as: Nui Dinh tourist area, urban area southwest of Ba Ria; Safari Wild Zoo - Xuyen Moc district; Paradise Area, Atlantis Project, Mui Nghinh Phong, Front Beach Area, Go Gang Urban Area, Bau Trung Area - Vung Tau City; coastal tourism projects on Vung Tau - Long Hai - Phuoc Hai - Xuyen Moc and Con Dao national tourist area. Strengthen the State management of tourism establishments; promote linking regions and regions for tourism development; renewing activities to promote and advertise the tourism image of the province.

Ba Ria - Vung Tau will focus on creating a land fund to call for enterprises to invest in agricultural development with high technology applications with a total area of 4,000 hectares in districts: Chau Duc, Xuyen Moc, Dat Do and Phu My town. .
