With the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park (Phu My town, Ba Ria-Vung Tau) was born, gradually becoming a model model, considered as an ecological, smart industrial park, applying information technology in management and operation.
When Phu My Dry Port comes into operation, it is expected to form a complete logistics center, increasing the efficiency of seaport operations for the entire Southeast region.

On September 8th, 2023, the Land Sublease Contract signing ceremony between TRELLEBORG VIETNAM CO., LTD and Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park (PM3 SIP) with a scale of 60,000 m2 took place.
The project of a polysilicon processing and cleaning plant in Phu My 3 Specialzied Industrial Park invested by Tokuyama Corporation is built on an area of 50,000m2, with a total investment of about 30 million USD.
The Ministry of Transport has just issued a decision to announce the opening of Phu My inland port (phase 1) in Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park, Phuoc Hoa ward, Phu My town, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province. Phu My inland deport has a scale of 37.8ha, which is allowed to provide services and carries out import and export procedures.
Ba Ria - Vung Tau has set the goal of maintaining a steadfast position among the top 10 provinces in terms of the highest Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and state budget revenue nationwide, aiming to become the national maritime economic center by 2050. On March 29th, Mr. Nguyen Cong Vinh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, stated that the provincial planning had been approved by the Prime Minister at the end of 2023 and was being specified into objectives and key tasks for the province during the 2021 - 2030 period, with a vision towards 2050.
