On the occasion of the 19th anniversary of Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day (13/10/2004-13/10/2023) as well as to recognize and honor the great contributions of the business community and entrepreneurs to the development of the province, in the afternoon of 13/10/2023, in Vung Tau City, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, People's Committee of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province organized a gathering to celebrate the 19th anniversary of Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day (13/10/2004 – 13/10/2023).
Attending the meeting were Mr. Pham Viet Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Madam Nguyen Thi Yen, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of Provincial Party Committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees and districts, towns and cities; and 300 typical businessmen and investors in the province.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Tho - Chairman of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and honored the great contributions of businesses and entrepreneurs to the development of the province. At the same time, over the past time, the business team and the Ba Ria-Vung Tau business community have constantly grown and developed in both quantity and quality. The structure, scale and fields of operation have changed in accordance with the economic restructuring; Competitiveness is raised, contributing strongly to the development of the province.
With the motto "Business-centric, business-oriented", all levels and branches in the province have implemented policies to support businesses. Up to now, in the province, there are more than 22 thousand domestic enterprises registered for operation, after 9 months of 2023, there are nearly 1,400 newly established enterprises, with a total registered capital of more than VND 13,500 billion, up 4.92% over the same period. Authorities also granted new and adjusted investment capital to increase investment capital of 41 investment projects of foreign enterprises with a total newly registered capital and an increase of 670 million USD and 25 investment projects of domestic enterprises with a total registered capital increase of nearly 9,900 billion VND.
Over the past time, although there are still many difficulties, with the companionship and support of the province along with bravery, determination and dynamic and creative spirit, entrepreneurs have made steady efforts to lead enterprises to overcome difficulties, production and business activities gradually stabilize and develop.
Chairman of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial People's Committee affirmed that provincial agencies always determine their responsibility to create the most favorable conditions for businesses and entrepreneurs and commit to continue timely and fully implementing policies and solutions to support enterprises; promote administrative procedure reform, create the best business investment environment for enterprises and entrepreneurs; provide sufficient information; strengthen trade and investment promotion activities to seek new markets.
At the ceremony, leaders of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province awarded certificates of merit to 34 typical enterprises and entrepreneurs with outstanding achievements in production and business and positive contributions to social security. In particular, Thanh Binh Phu My Joint Stock Company - Investor of Phu My 3 Intensive Industrial Park was honored as one of the typical enterprises in the province.
