Billion dollar project in Ba Ria - Vung Tau officially put into operation

On December 17, the project of Polypropylene (PP) factory and Hyosung LPG underground storage facility in Cai Mep - Thi Vai area, Phu My town, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province was inaugurated. This is one of the typical projects of the province to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the province's establishment.

From May 5, 2018, the Prime Minister approved the project of Hyoseung Vina Chemical Company Limited with a total investment of about 1.3 billion USD. This is one of the largest projects licensed to operate in industrial zones of the province. After 3 years of groundbreaking and trial operation, the project has come into operation with liquefied petroleum gas as input materials and an underground storage of liquefied petroleum gas with a capacity of 240,000 to produce Polyropylene, Ethylene, Propylene, …

With a total capacity of 650,000 tons of polypropylene per year, of which 300,000 tons are in the Vietnamese market with affordable prices and outstanding quality, contributing to improving the competitiveness of Vietnam's manufacturing industries.The production and import-export activities of the first underground storage of liquefied petroleum gas in Southeast Asia also contribute to creating goods and improving the operational capacity of the Cai Mep - Thi Vai port cluster.
