The Ministry of Industry and Trade is proposing seaport business units to reduce the fees for storing containers, storage and warehousing for goods at seaports and logistics centers for businesses.

On the afternoon of October 13, at the Imperial Hotel (Vung Tau City), Mr. Pham Viet Thanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of BR-VT had a meeting and congratulated the businessmen and investors in province, on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of the Vietnamese businessmen's day (October 13, 2004 - October 13, 2020) with the theme "Entrepreneurs, enterprises of BR-VT Province to reach new heights".

In the afternoon, 10/8, Mr Pham Viet Thanh, Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council presided over an online briefing about prevention and control of COVID-19. The meeting is connected to Provincial Party Committee, Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee and 8 districts, towns and cities.

On the 4 August, Minister Industrial and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien signed an express dispatch to send the Prime Minister proposing a number of solutions to dismantle difficult situation of cargo congestion at Cat Lai Port which spreading to other ports such as Cai Mep, Hai Phong and have negative impacts on import and export activities.

(E&R) – In the period of 2020-2025, Ba Ria - Vung Tau will continue to focus on developing key economic sectors, including industry, seaports, tourism and high-tech agriculture.

Vietnam's Logistics Performance Index (LPI) ranks 39th out of 160 countries and territories. In the ASEAN region, this index of Vietnam even entered the top 3 with a score of 3.27, among the top emerging markets with a growth rate ranging from 14-16%.

Investors of the European Union (EU) wished to invest in Cai Mep Ha logistics center project with USD 984 million.
