PHU MY 3 SPECIALIZED INDUSTRIAL PARK WELCOMES CHAMPASAK PROVINCIAL DELEGATION, EXPANDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR VIETNAM - LAOS COOPERATION

The visit of the Champasak Provincial Delegation to Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park (Phu My 3 SIP) contributed to strengthening local connections, sharing experience in industrial infrastructure development, and exploring potential cooperation in logistics between Vietnam and Laos.

As part of the 3rd Ho Chi Minh City Friendship Dialogue 2026 (FD 2026), organized by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, on the morning of September 12, 2026, Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park had the honor of welcoming a delegation from Champasak Province, Lao PDR, led by Mr. Alounxay Sounnalath, Member of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, Secretary of the Champasak Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Champasak Provincial People’s Council.The delegation visited Phu My 3 SIP to gain first-hand insights into the development and operational model, as well as to exchange views on industrial infrastructure development. The visit also opened up potential opportunities for cooperation between the two sides in industrial park infrastructure development and logistics.

During the visit, the Champasak Provincial Delegation learned about the formation, investment, and development process of Phu My 3 SIP, as well as its development orientation toward a specialized, integrated, and sustainable industrial park model. In addition to infrastructure development, the delegation gained deeper insights into investment incentives, wastewater treatment processes, and land clearance and compensation mechanisms for local residents implemented at Phu My 3 SIP.

Speaking at the working session, Mr. Alounxay Sounnalath highly appreciated the operational model and infrastructure system of Phu My 3 SIP. He shared that Champasak Province currently has three industrial parks, including areas located near the Thai and Cambodian borders and a central industrial park invested in by Japanese partners. The province is also planning a new industrial park to meet growing industrial development and investment attraction needs in the coming years. Mr. Alounxay Sounnalath expressed his hope that Thanh Binh Phu My Joint Stock Company, the developer of Phu My 3 SIP, could visit Champasak Province for a field survey and further discussions on potential cooperation in industrial park infrastructure development and logistics.

As part of the program, the Champasak Provincial Delegation also visited several infrastructure facilities within the Phu My 3 SIP ecosystem, including Phu My Warehouse and Phu My Inland Port. The delegation explored the connectivity between the industrial park and the region’s logistics, warehousing, and seaport network.

The delegation also recognized the strong development potential of Phu My 3 SIP, particularly its strategic connectivity to the Cai Mep–Thi Vai deep-water port cluster, which creates favorable conditions for developing storage, transshipment, and international export activities for agricultural and industrial products.

With a shared commitment to exchanging experience, connecting resources, and promoting sustainable development, the visit of the Champasak Provincial Delegation provided a meaningful opportunity to strengthen people-to-people exchanges, expand cooperation, and further reinforce the friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
