On November 16, leader of Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park (Phu My Town, Ba Ria -Vung Tau Province) said that in just the past week, 2 Japanese corporations organized the start of factory construction in this industrial park.
Specifically, on November 14, Showa Sangyo Group started the project of a prepared powder factory with a total investment of more than 500 billion VND.
The project is divided into 2 phases. Phase 1 is the production and processing of prepared mixed flours in food (pancake flour, octopus cake flour, donut flour, sponge cake flour, fried flour, crispy fried flour, ruffled flour and dry coat flour...) with a capacity of 19,000 tons/year. Phase 2 produces mixed sugar (a mixture of sugar, starch and food additives) used in food processing, with a capacity of 1,000 tons/year.
It is expected that phase 1 of the project will be completed and put into operation in the 2nd quarter of 2026; phase 2 will be put into operation in the 3rd quarter of 2027.
Previously, on November 8, Tosoh Group in PM3 SIP held a groundbreaking ceremony for the first MDI chemical factory in Vietnam. The factory has a scale of 12 hectares, with a total investment of 4,230 billion VND. The project aims to produce basic chemical products, MDI organic chemicals, with a capacity of 125,000 tons of products per year, using modern and environmentally friendly technology.
