On
the evening of February 28th, at the Square of Phu My Stadium, the official
ceremony was held to announce the Resolution of the Standing Committee of the
National Assembly on the establishment of new wards within Phu My Town and the
upgrading of Phu My to a city under Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province. With this
milestone, Phu My has become the third city under the administration of Ba Ria
– Vung Tau Province.
Speaking
at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly – Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai
praised and also urged the Party Committee and the Phu My City’s government to focus resources on developing the city into a modern port city, aiming for regional and
global recognition.

Strategic Location – The Port Economic Center of the
Region
Phu My is located in the centre of the
most dynamic economic area in the Southeast region, and also owns the Cai Mep – Thi Vai deep-water port,
which is the 19th largest port in the world. It is also one of the fastest-growing
ports in Vietnam, handling nearly 35% of Vietnam's total container cargo and
50% of the southern region's cargo. Especially, it is one of two port complexes
in Vietnam which is capable to receive ultra-large container ships going
directly to Europe and the Americas without transshipment.

Developed Infrastructure – A Driving Force for
Industry and Logistics
Not only has Phu
My experienced strong economic growth, but it also owns a complete,
integrated, and modern transportation infrastructure system, among the best in
the region. This includes major projects such as the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau
expressway, Phuoc An Bridge, Road 991B, and others that are currently
deploying, providing favorable conditions for the development of industry,
ports, and logistics.
Leveraging these strengths, Phu My has risen to become the industrial center and port city
leading in the region.
Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park – Accompanying
the Development of Phu My City
Proud to be one of the industrial parks locating at
Phu My City, Phu My 3 Specialized
Industrial Park is honored to inherit strategic advantages such as its
strategic location - just 2 km from the Cai Mep – Thi Vai deep-water port
complex, and its proximity to major highways and national roads such as National
Road 51, Road 991B, and Phuoc Hoa – Cai Mep Road. These factors make the trade
and port logistics services increasingly convenient.
This not only contributes to the Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park's strengths to attract both
domestic and international investors but also serves as a key driver for
sustainable economic growth, enhancing industrial competitiveness for both Phu My City, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province
and Vietnam on the global stage.

Once again, Phu
My 3 Specialized Industrial Park congratulates to the Party Committee,
government, and people of Phu My. We believe that the upgrade of Phu My Town to
Phu My City starting from March 1st
will lay the foundation for our city to continue leveraging its internal
strength, potential, and local advantages. This will support the government's
policies and gradually assert its role as a key growth pole not only for Ba Ria
– Vung Tau Province but also for the entire Southeast region.
