Sustainable development for industrial zones is always the goal that BR-VT pursues. This policy of course will have to refine and restrict some projects, leading the industrial parks slower in filling.
But in return, the projects implemented locally will bring sustainable values, less damaging to socio-economic life and the environment.

IMPROVE THE ABILITY TO MONITOR THE ENVIRONMENT
Environment is one of the issues that the province is most interested in today. As for industrial zones, the provincial People's Committee has directed the departments, implementation of many measures to enhance environmental management, especially to promote monitoring of discharge activities of factories in industrial zones.
Mr Dang Son Hai, Deputy of Director the departments of Natural Resources and Environment said that all the industrial parks in the province have been investing in centralized wastewater treatment systems. In addition, 10 industrial zones have invested in automatic wastewater monitoring system, of which 6 industrial zones have transferred data to the automatic monitoring center of the province to monitor and manage.
In particular, 17/17 steel factories operating in the IP invested in waste water and exhaust treatment systems as prescribed; in which 6/6 steel billet factories have invested in the automatic emission monitoring system and transmitted data to the Automatic Monitoring Control Center of the Province for management.
According to Mr Vo Minh Tung, Deputy Head of the management board the IPs in the Province, in order to enhance the environmental protection issues in IPs, Management Boards of the IPs have developed a "Regulation on coordination of environmental management in Industrial Zones in the province".
Accordingly, the IPs Management Board is the focal point to organize the coordination, participation and creating favorable conditions for the agencies, units, to co-operate well with the state management activities on environment of the IPs in accordance with the law.
The regular coordinating units are the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Provincial police, district People's Committees and relevant departments.

Along with the guidelines and policies of BR-VT province, Industrial Parks also determined that development must be "sustainable and effective".

The factory applies a comprehensive technological process including sediment separation, biological and physical treatment, mud stabilization and wastewater disinfection.
In addition, the automatic wastewater monitoring system has been equipped in accordance with current regulations, can be operated continuously and strictly monitor the quality of wastewater after treatment.
The monitoring data was then sent to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment for the purpose of managing the wastewater environment of the Industrial Park in the province.

ATTRACTING THE SELECTIVE INVESTMENT
Over the past time, the formation and development of centralized industrial zones has created attractive industries with advantages; Such as industries using raw materials and fuels, associated with the development of port systems and the processing industries of agriculture, forestry and seafood, creating a variety of industrial products, including some of New industrial products such as: electricity, iron and steel, fertilizer, port construction ...
All have turned Ba Ria – Vung Tau into one of the largest centers in Vietnam for gas, electricity, fertilizer and steel.
However, in the context which land resources, resources are limited, Ba Ria - Vung Tau has developed strategies to selectively attract investments towards high technology, Services with great economic value.
Mr. Nguyen Khac Thanh, General Director of Tin Nghia - Phuong Dong Industrial Zone Joint Stock Company (the investor of Dat Do Industrial Zone 1, Dat Do District) said that Dat Do 1 Industrial Park always focus on attracting investment and the environment ; Priority should be given to investment in clean projects, high technology and less pollution.
With a total area of nearly 500ha, right from the start of infrastructure construction, Dat Do 1 Industrial Park prioritizes attracting projects with high technology, using less labor, not causing environmental pollution such as: manufacturing machines and equipment; assembling motorbikes and bicycles; Manufacturing electric equipment; Processing agricultural products; Producing construction materials; Products serving tourism; manufacturing and assembling electronic components , computers and semiconductors ...
To serve the upcoming development, BR-VT province is determined to accelerate the commencement and construction of Phuoc An bridge; commencement of Bien Hoa-Vung Tau expressway soon; promote the construction of a railway connecting Cai Mep with industrial zones in the region to reduce logistics costs and connect the province to the economic region.
Along with that, the province reviewed and adjusted the planning of industrial parks in the direction of attracting selective investment in association with environmental protection; effectively using land fund and forming industrial clusters linking with each other, creating a foundation for Cai Mep - Thi Vai port system; make adjustments to industries and trades to attract investment in industrial parks. On the other hand, to reserve a reasonable land fund for the development of logistics and logistics services to meet the requirements of enterprises importing and exporting goods through the port system.
The province also focuses on building a positive and favorable business investment environment; implementing strong decentralization in considering and approving investment policies to shorten the time for investors.

This is expected by businesses to create a new position and power for businesses to invest in industrial parks to develop more and more.

In 2019, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Management Board of Industrial Zones to be licensed to invest in 7 types of projects (not under the authority to decide investment policies of the Prime Minister and provincial People's Committees), including: Projects using high technology; supporting industry development project; investment projects in the field of information technology, production of hardware and software products; Similar projects have invested in industrial zones (do not cause environmental pollution); train human resources in supporting industries and logistics services; projects in the field of logistics services; projects of over VND 5,000 billion included in the approved planning.
